Is the record skipping on one of these tracks?

  • website & community development

I can help you with that. Let’s stand out.

Let’s make a difference.

I have more ideas than I know what to do with, many of which are absurd. It is this absurdity that often bumps the skipping record, advancing us to a new song (or at least hearing the current one through).

Working in knowledge management for a Fortune 500, I spend a lot of time thinking about how to develop processes which translate the strategic visions of management into tactical language that matters to front line employees. It’s about showing customer-facing staff how what’s good for the customer is good for them (which we all know is good for the business), bringing the odd technical resource into play, and the relentless pursuit of evolutionary corporate culture.

But I want to learn more.

Down the road, I think I might like to do some limited business consulting or coaching, but before I would ever charge for something like that, I want a broader perspective; I want to help write some business success stories. I wouldn’t feel right charging for these services… yet.

Help, not hype.

I’m not here to sell you on a bunch of trendy buzzwords and tell you how much you need a blog/Facebook/Twitter/Google+. I’m not going to try talking you into hiring me, paying me, or buying anything. I need experience thinking beyond my comfort zone and you need someone on the outside to tell you how things look from the street.

If you’re in a bind and would like to talk to a complete outsider, someone who will look at your situation from a different perspective and possibly offer you one of those absurd ideas which might help you with your own skipping record, I would love the opportunity to think about your situation with you. Just be aware: I will challenge you to tell me why the people most affected by this initiative should care, how you’re getting their feedback, and what your vision looks like. I will not, however, ask you for any money.

This is 100% free of charge. Promise.

Maybe we discover something exciting that will get you energized about what you’re doing again. Maybe we uncover something I need to learn more about. If nothing else, you get a complete stranger empathizing with the gravity of exactly what you’re going through.
