I don't think it's a bad idea to keep two sites. After all, Kris does the same thing - planetkris for personal stuff, and rallynotes for the rally stuff. There isn't a lot of cross-pollination, but the two sites are linked together. However, you might find yourself posting way more at one place than the other, especially if you don't have lots of time. Heck, I haven't even had time to post on my own site since September. Good luck, and have fun - and email me back when you have a moment!

Now you've gone and done it, Greg. Now you've gone and done it.

I'm not giving very serious thought to moving all the Galant content from DR1665.com to tarmac-and-gravel and then using this site as more of a general, what's-important-to-me blog. Moving the Galant makes sense, but it's a question of whether or not I have enough material to keep both sites moving. (And do I really want to be a textbook blogger?) Then again, there's the question of when am I actually going to have the time to make the switch. I returned to work this past Tuesday and I don't suspect I'll have a full day off until Thanksgiving day. Bogus.

Appreciate the idea, though. This could be the next evolution of the site. Time will tell.

heh. see, just move content there. seeding a site with content is hard (look at DeviantAdvice and PervyGeek), so any shortcuts you can take (within reason) are good. I recently changed DA and TPV to where their Twitter accounts are now inactive (for now) and udpates will now Tweet out via my gadkins1974 Twitter, it's made life (and promotion) so much easier.

And hey, if you've got a site.. might as well use it. :) Besides, if Tarmac and Gravel becomes a money-making enterprise, you can actually work on 195 and call it a "project car" for the site and BAM... tax write-off.

Aw, jeez, Greg. Why'd you have to go and make that suggestion? Especially when you know I have tarmac-and-gravel.com just sitting on the web with zero content and no purpose right now. And even more especially when I think about how I've got two Galants now - one for tarmac and one for gravel.

Crap. I was never any good at Jenga.
